What an awesome revelation when we realize that there is only One life, One nature, One identity and One Mind etc. Colossians 3:4 states: "When Christ who is our life appears..." However, the words 'who' and 'is' are not present in the Greek, which changes the verse it to read: "When Christ OUR LIFE appears..."
There has only ever been One life. When Paul the Apostle said in Galations 2:20: "I am crucified with Christ..." he was recognizing that he had no other life. The false awareness of having an old life was swallowed up in his realization of only ever having One life.
In Philippians 2:9 it records of Jesus that He was given a name ABOVE any other name, which would insinuate that there were OTHER names but His name was merely above all of the other names. That is how it is written in the KJV.
However, in the Greek (#5228 huper) it uses the word 'INSTEAD'. It records that He was given a name INSTEAD of any other name, which would reveal that there is only One name. The term 'name' is symbolic of NATURE, so that reveals to us that there has only ever been One divine nature. Name can also be used for identity.
Therefore, there is only One identity. Paul also recorded that 'We have the Mind of Christ'. Now it can APPEAR as though we have a carnal mind by the way we act at times, but that is judging by sight rather than by what is spiritually true of us. Nowhere can we find that we have ever had a carnal mind. Romans 8 merely states that 'to be carnally minded is death'. However, both Paul and Peter recorded that 'We have the Mind of Christ'.
Our Father only deals in One. One life, One nature, One identity and One Mind. Ephesians 4 records that there is (only) One Spirit (or, One presence), One faith (or, the faith of the Son of God), One body (One many-membered body of Christ), One Lord, One Father, who is Lord of all etc. Romans 13 declares that there is only One power. Christ-consciousness only recognizes One.
Anything else that APPEARS as a power, or presence, or life, or nature, or identity is only just that, an appearance; with no real power behind it, except the power we give it by believing that it is a power. Now while these other things which appear negative do exist, and are in a realm of existence, they are not real as the Spirit calls real. His view and opinion is above.
These are the glorious realities that Jesus revealed in His resurrection. He redeemed us from THE lie in His death, but revealed the glory (meaning, view and opinion) in His resurrection. That is why Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He revealed, and is the way we think, talk and walk. He is the truth we embrace, and the life we experience as a result! #KayFairchild
